 1. Confirm Drawer-Wise Compatibility

Check that your theme or third-party drawer (“side cart”) supports app embeds. Simply Shipping Protection is compatible with a range of cart drawer types: Cart Drawer, Slide Cart, and iCart Drawer. 

 2. Enable the Drawer Widget in Settings

  • In your Shopify Admin, open the Simply Shipping Protection app.

  • Navigate to Settings → Widget Settings (or the equivalent path).

  • Enable the toggle for Side Cart / Mini-Cart Drawer (and others like Cart Page or Checkout if preferred).

 3. Customize the Toggle’s Look & Messaging

  • Edit label text to match your brand voice (e.g., “Protect my order for ₹X”).

  • Tailor colors and typography to blend with your cart drawer UI.

  • Use the live preview feature in-app to review styling.

 4. Choose Default Toggle Behavior

Decide if the toggle should be:

  • Checked by default (auto-opt-in), maximizing protection opt-ins.

  • Unchecked by default, offering a neutral choice per Shopify guidelines.

 5. Manual Code Placement (If Needed)

If the widget doesn’t show automatically:

  1. Copy the widget embed code from the app’s settings.

  2. In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Edit Code.

  3. Locate your drawer template (e.g., cart-drawer.liquid, side-cart.liquid).

  4. Paste the embed code in the desired position.

  5. Save and preview in-store to confirm visibility.
