The Consent Pop‑Up feature in Simply Shipping Protection allows you to show a dedicated pop-up encouraging customers to add shipping protection before they proceed to checkout. This ensures transparency and clear consent from customers.


 Step 1: Access the Consent Pop‑Up Setting

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin → Apps → Simply Shipping Protection.

  2. Click on the Layout tab under Settings.

  3. In the Layout Options section, you will find:

    • Button (redirects to checkout)

    • Toggle (for in-cart selection)

    • Consent Pop‑UpTick this option to enable the pop‑up.


Step 2: Customize the Consent Pop‑Up

  1. Consent Pop‑Up Preview appears on the right.

  2. Edit the text for:

    • Heading (e.g., “Shipping Protection from Damage, Loss & Theft for $2.00”)

    • Description (e.g., “Protect your order from damage, loss, or theft”)

  3. Customize the button labels:

    • Add Protection

    • No Thanks

  4. Adjust styling (color, font) using the Customize tab if required.


Step 3: Save and Test

  1. Save Changes in the app interface.

  2. Go to your storefront and add an item to the cart.

  3. Proceed to checkout → You should now see the Consent Pop‑Up prompting customers to opt in for shipping protection.

  4. Test both:

    • Clicking Add Protection → Insurance fee should be added.

    • Clicking No Thanks → Proceeds without adding insurance.


 Compatibility Notes

  • This Consent Pop‑Up works seamlessly with Toggle selection or can function independently if desired.

  • If your theme uses a Slide Cart or Mini-Cart Drawer, ensure both toggle and pop-up are tested for visibility.
