Adding two checkout buttons allows your customers to choose whether they want to opt for shipping protection or proceed without it. Here’s how to configure this setup within the Simply Shipping Protection app:
Step-by-Step Guide:
Enable the Widget
Navigate to the Simply Shipping Protection app in your Shopify Admin.
Go to Settings.
Toggle Widget Visibility ON to activate the widget functionality.
Select Layout Option
Under Layout Options, select Button.
The Button option displays a single checkout button that adds shipping protection to the order.
Customize the Primary Button (With Protection)
Click on the Customize tab in the left sidebar.
Configure the Primary Button appearance and behavior:
Button Text: For example,
Checkout + #ftnplan_price## (Protection)Tooltip Message (optional): e.g., Get peace of mind with Shipping Protection in the event your delivery is damaged, stolen, or lost during transit.
Customize font size, colors, background, hover color, padding, and margins as per your store branding.
Enable the Secondary Button (Without Protection)
Scroll down to the Secondary Button section within Customize.
Toggle it ON to display a second checkout button.
This Secondary Button functions as a regular checkout, allowing customers to continue without adding shipping protection.
Save the Configuration
Once customization is complete for both buttons, click Save at the top.
Preview and Verify
Check the Widget Preview on the right-hand side to confirm how both buttons will appear.
Visit your live Cart Page to ensure both buttons work as expected:
Primary Button: Adds shipping protection before proceeding to checkout.
Secondary Button: Proceeds to checkout without adding protection.
