If your store uses a Slide Cart or Mini Cart Drawer instead of a standard cart page, you can still offer two checkout buttons—one with shipping protection and one without. This gives your customers the flexibility to choose at checkout.

 Step-by-Step Guide:

  Enable the Widget

  • Go to the Simply Shipping Protection app inside your Shopify Admin.

  • Navigate to Settings.

  • Toggle the Widget Visibility ON to activate widget features.

  Select Layout Option

  • In the Layout Options, select Button.
    → The Button layout adds a checkout button with protection directly inside your Slide Cart.

  Customize the Primary Button (With Protection)

  • Go to the Customize tab from the left sidebar.

  • Configure the Primary Button settings:

    • Button Text: Example → Checkout + #ftnplan_price## (Protection)

    • Tooltip Message (optional): Provide brief text like Add Shipping Protection to your order for peace of mind.

    • Adjust appearance:

      • Font Size

      • Font Weight

      • Text Color & Hover Color

      • Background Color & Hover Color

      • Padding / Margin / Border Radius

  Enable and Configure the Secondary Button (Without Protection)

  • Scroll to Secondary Button in the Customize section.

  • Toggle it ON to display the regular checkout button.

  • This button functions as the default checkout, allowing customers to proceed without adding shipping protection.

  Adding Buttons to the Slide Cart/Mini Cart Drawer

  •  Important: Displaying the buttons inside your Slide Cart requires a manual code integration into your theme’s cart drawer file (usually cart-drawer.liquid or similar).

  • If you or your developer can access theme code:

    • Insert the Primary Button code snippet below the subtotal or cart items.

    • Insert the Secondary Button next to or below the Primary Button.

  • Don’t worry if you’re unsure how to add the code—we can help with that (see Need Help below).

  Save All Settings

  • After completing button setup and design:

    • Click the Save button in the Simply Shipping Protection admin.

    • Refresh your Slide Cart on your store to verify the buttons.

  Verify Functionality

  • Primary Button: Adds shipping protection + redirects to checkout.

  • Secondary Button: Bypasses protection and redirects to checkout normally.
