If your OTP credit balance is running low or exhausted, you can easily update or increase your monthly capped amount within your Shopify Admin.

This ensures that OTPs continue working seamlessly for your customers.

 Step 1: Open the Lucent OTP & Notify App

1️⃣ Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Lucent OTP & Notify.
2️⃣ Click on Update credit balance from the main dashboard.


 Step 2: Set or Increase the Capped Amount

1️⃣ A pop-up window titled “Update Credit Balance” will open.
2️⃣ In the Capped Amount field, enter the maximum monthly spend (in USD) that you’d like to allocate for OTP transactions.

For example:
Example: If you want to allow up to $100 to be used for OTP credits monthly, enter 100 here.

 Important:

  • Used Balance shows how much of your cap you’ve already used this month.

  • You can increase this cap at any time if needed.


 Step 3: Save Changes

 Click Save to confirm and apply your updated credit limit.


 Automatic Monthly Renewal

Your capped balance automatically renews each month.
Example: If you set your capped amount to $50, Shopify will allow OTP usage up to $50 each month before requiring an increase. No manual action is required to renew it every month unless you wish to change the limit.
